Due to the slowness and expense of the shipboard Internet and the time and effort it takes to select and prepare photos for uploading, I’ve decided to post mostly text while cruising. Once we return home, I’ll relive the trip and augment this blog with photos and videos.

I’ve again repurposed this blog. Now it will serve as a general travel blog for Hanson and Janice, often accompanied by John. We’ll see if we can at least post a little bit each day.
Thursday 9 July:
Since the trip is over, I’ve decided to shift the site from a blog format to more of a travelogue. Therefore I’ve made the Itinerary page the home page. I’ll be noting when I revise posts so it will be easier to see what has changed since you last looked.
Sunday 5 April:
We’ve realized that we are way behind with our posting so we are going to try to speed it up by reducing the number of photos we post. That seems to be the most time consuming part of the process even though it may also be the most interesting part of the viewing. We’ll try to select the most interesting pictures and not worry about chronicling everything with a photo.
Sunday 15 March:
I know we are way behind posting, but we are having too much fun. I’ve just posted Melbourne. We’ve got a few more written and I’ll post them when I can. The connection on board is slow and expensive.
I’ve just gone back and redated the existing posts to a day after the visit so they will index according to the month of the visit.
